Saving the World looks at the reality through the eyes of Marcel Bloemendal. He has travelled around the Europe for over 30 years non-stop. Marcel has been diagnozed with schizophrenia, which he describes in following: “If I did not have it, I would only be boring and average. Now I can save the world.”

Saving the World is based on the firendship of the protagonist and the artist. It deals with the various ways of defining the reality and it questions insanity and sanity, normality and abnormality, ordinarity and unordinarity.

Filmed during five years time around Europe. Production by Kinotar.
